Put another way: Given any two principles, a scenario exists where one must be sacrificed for the other. That's why creed, religious or otherwise, is dangerous, especially in positions of power. A public servant must be covenantal, not creedal, to operate with integrity. I hope he works that way.
I hope he does too but I'm not inclined to give much benefit of doubt to anybody who definitely wants you to notice that he has a Bible in one hand while he's reaching for power with the other. The way he uses his faith at best strongly suggests a certain metaethical naivete. He will be assimilated.
Correct, it's a victory speech. Which eliminates the authenticity of any affectations of concern about whether each vote counted or not.
It's not about "the way I want" anything. It's about whether he is authentic.
When the words don't match the spirit, that's inauthentic.
