Valverde, you say! π³
And both feeding stations were used overnight. By hedgehogs! π¦
Iβm confident that Spring is here. Why? There was a hedgehog rumble in the jungle last night. π¦π¦
Me and @bokarelli.bsky.social
are up Carra Rud! On the ball city.
By the Hedgehog Highway at 19 secs - and the cat gives the hedgehog a wide berth
Lol! It holds quite a volume. I like the soup but my wife tried some of the sample I was given and did not like it at all.
Yes. Itβs very me, Exempt Human Specimen. And they are literally taking the piss. Next week I have to both fast and provide 24 hours worth of urine (the exempt human specimen)
A useful read on the (poor) state of US Navy mine clearing capacity.

This study visit involved fasting for 12 hours overnight, giving blood and urine samples and a range of physiological measurements. And because Iβve been fasting, I get a voucher for my breakfast. Winning π

Up there with the best episodes: especially the discussion of how Blair got it in the neck from the right-wing media for not consulting with his Cabinet over Iraq (even though, actually he did) whereas Starmer gets it in the neck for being 'weak' when he did consult colleagues over Iran.
Get in! The new feeding station we put in, Craigievar, has had its first hedgehog customer. And no Mustapha Biscuit snaffling the kitten biscuits first. π¦
Cats and hedgehogs are not like cats and dogs. Cats have a healthy respect for our spiny friends. As demonstrated by the Dark Knight and a visiting hedgehog in the wee small hours.

And the same arriving in the mess hall
With all the changes worried the hedgehogs wonβt find the new entrance. This one is looking where the old entrance was but does get there. Two feeding hedgehogs overnight. No cat. π¦οΏΌ
Oh god no. Obviously Iβm just a lottery win away from packing work in to look after hedgehogs.
Well, I run five times a week and get up at 0530 to get that done, then I shower and go to work (have breakfast at work), I do my work, come home and sort out hedgehogs. And the hedgies are also done by @bokarelli.bsky.social so itβs not just me. π
In my never ending quest to keep the hedgehogs fed and Mustapha Biscuit out, Iβve tweaked the defences as I was worried it didnβt give the hedges enough room to manouevre inside the feeding stations. Weβll see.
And over in Eilan Donan, our most sparkly hedgehog friend did negotiate the new anti-Mustapha tunnel. π¦
So Mustapha Biscuit did not breach the new set up. Yet. Biscuits in Craigevar are untouched.
I run early in the mornings before work usually (obvs not the weekend) When the kids were little Iβd put them to bed and then run in the evening. Prefer running in the mornings!
Fingers crossed!
Adopting a layered defence. Am I confident this will work? No. I never underestimate my adversary. I think the hedgehogs will squeeze through ok π€
