Fantastic work.

Two painted AT-STs and 4 scout trooper Speeder Bikes from the Star Wars Legion tabletop game. All are painted in black with red or blue highlights and metallic streaks.

The same two AT-STs from before but actually showing the colour differentiation between red and blue highlights.

I've been gone for some time, largely busy with work. But I'm taking some time in the holidays to work on some of the model backlog. It's very therapeutic.

Here's the work on my imperial vehicle garage from this morning.

It looks great! I also struggled with painting Gideon's face, it's hard to adjust into when you've been doing helmets forever

FINALLY got to one of the models in my shame-pile for 40k - my old Dark Vengeance Chaplain, who I'd stripped the paint from, and put on a 40mm with a tactical rock cause he's a firstborn short king.

The other thing is if you're just looking for the rogue trader minis, from the base set and not the chaos/xenos stuff, I think there's a set called lair of the beast or something that had most of them

Rogue trader wise they had Neyam Shai Murad - who might be the only one you can't get anywhere else. The sets had various other things like servitors etc. They were cool but not worth OOP prices

I'm currently going through a stack of their old metal models, my hands have never been so covered in glue.

Nostalgia wins eventually but the newer plastic is so much nicer.

Just don't look up the expansions. Out of print stuff is $$

Yeah this is essentially why I ended up walking home with a blackstone fortress box because "ooh look at the rogue trader minis"

A renegade light warjack led by Gaston Crosse from Warmachine miniatures game. The renegade has black and silver plating with red energy under its plates. Gaston has silver armour and red energy emanating from points under the mechanics of his armour. His head is mostly covered by a hood and goggles. He's holding a firearm in both hands, while the warjack has a chainsaw arm and a warhead launcher.

So continuing the monocromatic 'black pennies' mercenary company, thought I would paint this warcaster and 'jack the same way I painted Magnus and Invictus. I might go back over them at some point.

Maul, a rival miniature from star wars legion miniatures game. He is painted in the style of a zabrak jedi master with a blue saberstaff and green lightsaber. He has the a tan zabrak skintone, and the traditional brown Jedi robes with silver armouring.

The box was the same cost as getting the pirate squads on their own. I wanted to do a "rag tag bunch of randoms" inspired my skeleton crew and SWTOR. So here's maul inspired by a certain swtor cinematic.
