Two illustrations that really feel like slice of life photos. As a Sharon fan, FAWS was heartbreaking, lol. Still can't believe they refused to hire Spellman unless he wrote Sharon in (she wasn't part of his initial pitch at all) and reveal she was PB. And then the way they got Emily to sign on by saying they were finally going to do Sharon justice...

Remender's Captain America V7. Issue 1 was first published in 2012, and Steve goes straight there. Sharon ends up there in issue 10!

Roger Aubrey was the former Destroyer. He and Sharon briefly worked together, but it was long enough to admire and respect each other.

And she was trapped in a pocket dimension where time moved faster for (for her) decades. She got her youth restored before becoming Destroyer.

The skull mask is part of her Destroyer outfit, in part meant to honor Roger's death after his mask was broken when he died. Ian was just raised in a pocket dimension, where Sharon also lived and became a mother figure to him...

lol Markus and McFeely literally said Peggy was so bland in the comics that they used Sharon as inspiration for the character. Just... There was so much left to use for Sharon, but the Russos didn't like her, so...

I learned that Alex Ross' mother, Lynette Ross, was also a commercial illustrator so I looked up her work and what the helllllllll!!!

Honestly as well received as the Waid/Garney 1995-96 Cap run was, I'm surprised Marvel didn't try to get them to stay on to do a Sharon Carter in Journey as well

Still looking through the Silver Age Captain America stuff, and my most recent takeaway is that, even in the more patriarchal 60s, Sharon Carter is kinda better at her job than Cap is, mostly because she isn't having a breakdown about Bucky or being a relic or somesuch every five minutes.

Yeah, I think people will speculate, but... like people are buzzing about people's STUNT DOUBLES being in London, and there hasn't been a whisper of Emily in London... even though Josh's family is there. Maybe things will change, but... It's still the MCU.

That doesn't mean she definitely won't be in it, but the cast is stacked, there's no reason to keep her involvement a secret because she's not a "surprise" character... I'm just saying, I doubt that rumor is going to pan out. Wolverine or other X-characters are way more likely.
