I know precisely the moment in Nathan Knappโ€™s Daybook that I became absolutely fascinated, & it was on p 23 when a womanโ€™s (not the characterโ€™s new wifeโ€™s) โ€œmajesticโ€ breasts are described. I know I know..but it really was a โ€œwhat on earth is going on here?!โ€ moment, & is vital to what follows. 5*!

We're also looking for people who'd like to review the books we publish. Especially looking for those who'd like to review "Daybook" or "In the Suavity of the Rock". Interested? Just share your details with us and we'll be in touch: forms.gle/DXn7rH8ukaXs...

Nate Knappโ€™s DAYBOOK (Splice, 2024) is outstanding โ€” one of the strangest, most exciting & poignant books I have read in some time

I'd like to create an "Authors of Small/Indie Press Books 2024-2025" starter pack. Is that you? If so, please reply here. Also, if you don't mind reposting this for visibility, I'd appreciate it! #writingcommunity #indiebooks #indieauthors #booksky

โ€œIf you go through things, the warp and weft of time, there comes a point where youโ€™ll feel it, youโ€™ll see that youโ€™re writing your own sentencesโ€: An interview with Greg Gerke โ€” Tobias Ryan In his debut novel, In the Suavity of the Rock, author and essayist Greg Gerke reflects on memory, and the impulse to seek โ€” and impose โ€” narratives as a way of making the inchoate of life cohere. โ€ฆ

Happy to be up and running on Bluesky! Can we just leave behind the woes of the old platform and get back to what we were doing? For us, that's literature outside the mainstream: publishing the best we can find and shouting about it when it's coming from elsewhere.
