Hilarious thing to say if you last served in government when George W Bush did

The comms people need to be doing what the policy people say, not the other way around.

This is wrong. We do know where Stratton lands on this issue, at least last year when Israel was preventing food and medical aid from entering Gaza. She is against stopping arms transfers. She has declined to sponsor the Block the Bombs Act at debates. I’d say her position is very well known!

This is why I’ll never understand paying influencers for their content. Are you really telling me that this message from “The Woke Ginger” is worth $1.5K? Is that really a good use of your time and money?

It’s too simple of a topic. The arg for and against isn’t very complicated and there’s not a ton of policy domains that it can be easily translatable to.

Was going to suggest maybe asking the Chinese Communist Party to sign a check but Kat also thinks we should commit to a hot war with them, so

Antisemitism in America does not justify apartheid in Israel, apartheid is Israel does not justify antisemitism in America, a very simple concept that people seem to have a lot of trouble grasping.

Somebody who grew up in wealth, initially lived rent-free in somebody else’s sweet lakefront condo, then moved to the district after announcing her campaign, has zero self-awareness and even less of a clue by claiming she’s “poor.” Period.

To be clear, I don’t begrudge people who were raised in money. You don’t pick your parents.

But as a person who grew up in a family which had zero money and then scratched its own way to security, I find her claim repulsive.

. @capitolfax.bsky.social not happy with Kat Abughazaleh saying in a video: "there's also this aspect about primaries, where polling purposely weights older white primary voters ... a large part of our base are renters that are poor, like myself."

Also not for nothing, a lot of them made demands that had nothing to do with Joe Biden. My university’s encampment asked the president to divest and create a MENA student group. I don’t think Joe Biden came up in their negotiations (but he died on live tv shortly after anyway)

I swear, it’s like none of these people have ever met a college student before. You’re telling me that a bunch of un/underemployed people right at/under the drinking age whose schedules change every 3-5 months aren’t consistent in their behavior????

My Year as a Degenerate Sports Gambler Practically overnight, America made wagering on a game as frictionless as checking the weather. I was determined to understand the consequences—for my country, and for myself.

Ubiquitously advertised betting available through the computer you carry in your pocket via apps designed and managed by ruthlessly efficient data scientists and programmers seems like a mistake. www.theatlantic.com/magazine/202...

The solution to Hormuz being blockaded is simple: we must build an enormous orbital ring connected at various points with space elevators and use it for shipping

And from personal experience I feel comfortable calling it a pattern. In 2024 they asked my local IPO to join their CPS board coalition and when I told them I felt UWF had left us out to dry they called someone else they thought would be an easier sell and told them “this is a different, actually”

Obvs no skin off my back who they choose and why; I’m not in the union dont work in CPS and don’t believe in interfering in union politics. But I don’t appreciate the assumption here that I (or the audience for that particular excuse) am some kind of idiot

The current president used to be the union’s political director. The current vice president is personally invested in this issue. And while MCE didn’t receive AIPAC money last cycle, she had the same exact positions on this issue when she ran and got the CTU endorsement in 2024.

With the caveat that I heard third like 4th hand so it might be more gossip than truth: I heard a rumor that CTU leadership just didn’t know about Mellisa Conyears-Ervin’s extremist pro-Israel stances before endorsing her and for the record I find that very, very hard to believe

A lot of people trying to make the case for Israel right now haven't had to win an actual argument in decades and it's showing.

I am ecstatic to announce that @aoc.bsky.social has endorsed my campaign for Congress.
This is HUGE news & I couldn’t be more thankful to her for her support.

With her backing us, I’m even more impassioned to FIGHT & be a VOICE for every working person in the 8th district.

REAL change is near!

I’m usually not in agreement with the argument that people are having kids later because of how hard or expensive it is but I gotta tell you ya, man, I am feeling it lately

Kid literally just cried herself to sleep after I made her take some Tylenol for her teeth/oral thrush. Torn between relief that I can sit down and get some work done and feeling like a bully for it

Jim Cramer suggests on CNBC that Trump could “bomb Tehran into the Stone Age” until Iran reopens the strait, citing U.S. bombings of North Vietnam in the 1970s. Carl Quintanilla points out to him that Hanoi won that war.
