Survived two flea infestations, myself. If all the animals are collared/medicated and remain that way you're already doing loads of work towards breaking the life cycle. :) Give yourself a moment to breathe, you'll get through this.

If there is a creator, I think it's safe to assume we don't actually know anything about what they want or expect, if anything. People use religion to manipulate others nowadays, they would have back then, too. If there is an absolute word of God, we probably twisted it to suit our needs long ago. 🤷

I don't know your situation, but I'm sure you'll weather it. I still remember coming here and seeing your professional level animations after having known you from your MLP art on DA. :) You've put so much of yourself into developing your art, it'd be a shame if the world stopped seeing it. (2)

If fun is being sapped from art by something external I would consider a break instead. Even internal burnout is temporary. Creatives interact with the world around them through their medium, it's rarely something you one day wake up and never touch again.

As off-putting as arachnids can be, I do find the, 'mom/dad is an Uber till we're functional' bit very cute. Not sure if your species does this.

Speaking as a commissioner, I would advise all artists who intend on doing commissions as a business model to get a Trello or something adjacent so progress is accessible for clients, unless you plan on giving TAT's yourself. Patience for art is easy, patience for poor communication is not.

Money provides stability in where finding happiness is much easier to do, but that's not a short and simple phrase so I guess it never caught on 🙃

Ten months later, the first draft of 'Shroud of the Familiar' is done. While not my first novel, it is my first original one. Nearly two decades of fanfiction training wheels are off, and now it's time to make @gabefoxx.bsky.social cry. 🫡

I was at the last Megaplex, but schedule has been busy lately. Hope you enjoy!

EUREKA ERGONOMIC is what mine is. It was a few hundred but I'm plenty satisfied with it. The mechanical bits are higher quality than the tabletop but oh well, at least their priorities are right I suppose.

Even the villain was more in-depth than the broody mastermind stereotype he appeared to be at first. I like that he believed he was the hero of his story. We need more complex antagonists that can't be slotted into either 'they're just evil' or 'trauma is the real villain, they're sympathetic.' ^^

I will expire from the mortal plane the first positive review anyone dares to give mine once it's out. ⚰️

I think what it actually does is give ADHD folks more confidence because functioning is easier. If you're a horny person you're going to be horny more often, because you're feeling more in control so to speak. :) Obviously that increased focus and energy manifests differently between people though.

I tend to listen to the same song or 1-3 songs on repeat which helps with this. If I know what lyrics etc are coming I can enter the flow state easier and use the emotions of the music as fuel

I can barely ever write anymore without ADHD meds, but what further helps with that is emotional music. A lot of what I write has to do with relationships, drama, or action, things with lots of emotion. If I can make myself hype or cry, that's when the fire writing starts

I imagine most don't change because they use YouTube or whatever for dopamine amidst whatever stress they have going on, and switching would just be more stress. The way to mass move platforms is to have a good alternative already built and then have it trend. Seems to have worked well here so far.

As much as I agree with the greater picture sentiment, I am one of the unfortunate individuals who parasites seem to gun for, tasty blood or something. They love me and I can't say I love them 🫠

I sure wish there had been more panels like these at Megaplex when I went earlier this year, lecture panels are what I'm used to from cons but it was more activities than lectures/discussions.
