We had this discussion at our last Labour Party meeting😩. No real answers yet. See what happens in locals I suppose. Certainly Burnham could go to Lords. Not sure the rest of the country would go for Angela even though trad Labour possibly would.

The big question is ‘Who would replace him & still be in charge 2029?’. Burnham may not have seat for some time. Rayner? More of a Prescott figure who can rouse supporters. Few others who have had a go before. Certainly don’t want repeat of Tory chop and change. Will prob have to go after locals.

Royal Mail are putting profits first and prioritising parcels instead of letters. It means people are missing things like NHS appointments and bills that need paying. Enough is enough, sign the petition now to stop Royal Mail's greedy actions:

They must be thinking they have their 'Weimann' moment.

Coaching is poor. I watch a lot of footy on tv. Defensive lines are strict: two lines 5 & 4 one left up. We are a random jumble of 8 or 9 players. No rigorous organisation.

Opinions 😀. Our house felt that Harland was interfering and offside. But then we don't like City either so maybe we were biased. When so many decisions are made on hair's breadth margins that take so long to arrive at VAR's time really is up. EFL manage without it (unless you are Ismaël of course).

This can’t go on. UK news shows have got to start calling Nigel Farage out on this ridiculous bull****. Please start doing your job - for all our sakes

Well he did ok today. A positive sub when we needed to attack. And to be fair to the kid, the one time he had to put a shift in chasing back the did so, and was supported by a defender who helped him out. Can attack but also generally can’t defend in the box
X.

I agree: Not a good idea to get a banner out, possible loss of festive season ticket if the house chief steward decides so.

Very interesting. Is it not just possible that the idea was first mooted/discussed etc in 1874 and finalised in November 1875? It would be surprising if the founders hadn't had several meetings prior to recognised formation date.

Here's my argument with Sir Bernard Jenkin MP about the report showing how the racist intimidation of Black and Brown NHS workers on home visits has been exacerbated by the far right's wall of flags.

Side-by-side comparison of BBC-edited Trump speech from day of Capitol attack with original – video A selectively edited clip by Panorama has resulted in the BBC being accused of making it appear clearer that the US president encouraged the Capitol attack

I can’t stand the bloke but this is outrageous from the BBC . Supposed to be a bastion of British decency and truth but joining the gutter press with this. And the Reform bias continues too. Far too over represented. www.theguardian.com/media/video/...

The best gig I ever saw cost £4. Spiralling concert prices are a cultural disaster | John Harris Tickets for big tours have vastly outstripped inflation, while smaller artists and venues struggle. The magic is in danger of being snuffed out entirely, says Guardian columnist John Harris

If you don't understand what's problematic about this, it's simple:

Labour NEVER say anything positive about immigration. Literally not a word.

So 100% sustained negativity tars a huge group with a brush that should be aimed at a tiny tiny fraction of it.
