Ages since I last looked at Bootstrap. Wasn't impressed when I did but it may have improved since then. I mostly avoid the large JS libraries except where there's no option. Used a very good little company whose JS was tight and low-footprint for most things, but they closed after one partner died.

Absolutely. Too many developers saying "look what I can do" instead of "what does this client need". And half of them are pretty ropey on HTML and ignorant of CSS, and can't do anything without a framework.

Thought that. I remember going down for holidays as a kid in the early 60 and I actually remember it in black and white apart from some red bricks and roof tiles. Went back a few years later and the bings had been cleared and suddenly it was in colour - the fields were green!

Doubtful - I'm not sure any of them learn anything at secondary school except exceptionalism and that god is an Englishman.

That's what my mum's relatives in Durham used to say when there was coal dust in the air and you couldn't see the fields for pit bings. I suspect many around there still don't understand that it was the EU grants that regenerated most of the NE - the Tories would have let them die in poverty.

Judging by the young folk round here they'd be more likely to choose Edinburgh than London. A friend's eldest was there last year. But an global outlook means they also look beyond Europe - another friend's daughter has already been to LA to work and is going to Vietnam this year.
