Louisville and Lexington players paused the USL Championship season opener for 60 seconds after kickoff, letting the clock run without play. A fearless show of unity from the USL Players Association as negotiations reach a critical stage. It’s time for the league to act. #StandUpForStandards
This was such a great act of solidarity to watch. ✊
As the USL soccer players began their season tonight in Lexington, Kentucky with an expired union contract and a whole lot of intimidation tactics from the league this week, both teams stood completely still for the first minute of play.
The USL Championship League's season starts tomorrow, but their soccer players' union contract expired on NYE.
The players voted to authorize a strike last week, so the league is using textbook union-busting tactics to intimidate them.
Solidarity with the USLPA. Union-busting is disgusting.
The AFL-CIO has a very special new union! 🏅
Good riddance.

The labor movement isn’t falling for the Trump administration’s attempts to divide us.
Even as the state of our union is under attack, workers are banding together to fight back. Watch AFL-CIO President @lizshuler.bsky.social respond to President Trump’s State of the Union address:
President Trump’s speech tonight was a fever dream completely divorced from the reality workers feel every day amid rising costs and vanishing jobs.
In 2026 we will organize, fight, and vote for a country that works for us, not the billionaire bosses. https://bit.ly/46p4XKQ
America's unions salute the heroism of @cwaunion.bsky.social Local 2222 lineman and Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe.
Our union letter carriers, mail handlers and post workers take enormous pride in ensuring that vote-by-mail is safe, secure and reliable.
America’s unions oppose any efforts to limit vote-by-mail and denounce any misinformation that undermines its validity and security.
1 in 5 workers in America is an immigrant. Our diversity makes our jobs, our unions, and our country strong.
Trying to divide us based on where we are born is a dirty trick that only helps the billionaire bosses.
An immigrant doesn’t stand between you and a good job.
A billionaire does.
Speaking of Social Security… How has President Trump threatened Social Security? Let us count the ways.
Nobody should applaud policies that throw people off their health insurance or bankrupt them with medical bills.
Good, affordable health care is a basic human right.
The DOGE/Project 2025 cuts forced 300,000 federal workers out of their jobs, created chaos for struggling families and jeopardized the services we rely on. There's no evidence whatsoever that all these workers are now cashing in. DOGE has been devastating for America's workers.
Under the Trump administration, working families are struggling. Health care costs are spiking. Prices are going up on rent, groceries, utilities and more.
Workers are fighting for crumbs while billionaires and corporations get richer.
State of the Union BINGO: union edition.
Here are all the things the labor movement WISHES we’d hear about in tonight’s big speech.
Workers will be watching.
Throughout his life, Rev. Jackson fought tirelessly for workers, both at home and around the world. At every turn, he reminded us that the fight for good jobs, living wages, and union rights is inseparable from the fight for justice and equality. May he rest in power.
James Van der Beek, one of the most iconic TV actors of his generation, had to sell the mementos from his career just to pay for his cancer treatment.
His death is a tragedy and a shameful indictment of our broken, cruel "healthcare" system.
Dawson and his Capeside classmates graduated the same year I did. We all grew up together.
This is just terribly sad, especially for his adorable family.
Happy baseball season!

Evergreen post.
The Washington-Baltimore News Guild strongly condemns the layoffs announced today at The Washington Post. These cuts represent yet another blow to a newsroom that has already been pushed to its limits and a disservice to the readers who rely on The Post for rigorous, independent journalism.
Happy Truck Day to all who celebrate!
