I think it is both a lack of offering up good teaching on it. But also, I have found across a number of different local churches, both UM (I was a UM pastor) and Episcopal, that people do not frequently avail themselves of those learning opportunities

He guest lectured in my seminary NT class one day and said "The Rapture isn't in the Bible" and wanted to move on, but even at Duke Div, there were some UPSET people in the room who did not want to move on haha
