So I want to say thank you to those who reached out - but I’m actually more mentally healthy now than ever. The intrusive thought was something I used to experience but haven’t in a long time (& even when I did it was never serious).

I don’t want my knee-jerk reaction when strangers show concern to be distrust. That’s not a constructive attitude and I’m working on trying to assume good intent instead. They don’t know me, they don’t know that if I wasn’t fine, I wouldn’t be making a comic at all.

I’m a very cynical person, it’s one of my worst traits, I’m trying to overcome it. E.g. Many people reached out to ask if I’m ok after my latest comic. Instead of thinking “That’s nice, people care” my cynical brain jumps to “They don’t actually care, they’re being performative”.

Very smart people are convinced “they” got to him because he was softly spoken and his face is a bit puffier than they’re used to.

Seriously? People can’t reconcile with their perception of Jim Carrey being incorrect because he got work done so now he’s a clone? The internet is dumb as hell.

And how differently their parents have treated both of them I am convinced it’s true. But I don’t think there is an easy way to tell her that won’t end with me or my mum being the villains.

There’s a ~5 inch huntsman spider somewhere in my apartment. I was chill with him until I lost sight of him.

As a kid I woke up with a big spider lowering itself towards me from the ceiling so I’m a bit too antsy to sleep 😶🕷️

The DM says “happy birthday” and passes a card to the player who replied “what’s this?” The DM says “I home-brewed a one-of-a-kind magic item as a present for you” and the player replies “aw thanks.” Next session while roleplaying the player says “good day shopkeeper, I’d like to make a trade”, in character the DM responds “what have ye got?” “This one-of-a-kind magic item!” The player says and hands back the card the DM made them.
