I am going to need every single person who said that misinformation was a moral panic to feel enough shame and regret that they leave public intellectual life.

I even called to make a colonoscopy appointment after weeks of avoidance only to learn they have not opened the schedule. SHUCKS!

It's remarkable how much energy I have to get through my backlog of admin/medical things when I'm not trying to keep another person out of crisis also. There is a frog in boiling water sort of dynamic when you avoid confronting the reality of caretaking for everyone involved.

IMHO, it is important that Woke 2 be deemed "excessive" by historians, "sweeping too broadly" with "punishments too severe." It cannot be merely a course correction, it must be an overcorrection. Nothing less will serve as an adequate deterrent against the fascists and their collaborators.
