What’s the movie you genuinely enjoy that is known for being bad?
Isn't this 99.9% of cinematic pleasure??
It is ofc out of print bc that's how the BFI honours its film fellows. It's on BFI Player online, although w/o my DVD essay.
Had an amazing screening @clubdesfemmes.bsky.social in Bristol in 2016, where audience responded w *joy* & exhilaration throughout.

An entire city became a billboard. Epstein files. The client list. Projected across buildings for everyone to see. No one could look away. No one could scroll past. The streets became the screen. This is what happens when the internet goes outside!
The Spring @filmquarterly.bsky.social is stacked w/ #openaccess horror: Elinor Dolliver schools us on analog horror, Mina Radović explains Yugoslav animal horror, @tonyeatspuppies.bsky.social identifies a new trio of witches in LONGLEGS, BRING HER BACK & WEAPONS.

People are still trapped in their homes in my neighborhood here in Jason's ward, unable to go to work (at jobs which may not even exist anymore), sick with worry over how they’ll pay utilities and remain housed.
It's not over. ICE is still here, and the least we can do is afford families more time.
Can't tell you how excited I already am for this year's edition.
"Now a 2025 “re-imagining” of the project, with some story expansion and enhancement of its atmosphere, a 4K digital makeover, and an outstanding new score by Eli Denson, is making the art-house rounds." - Betsy Sherman. artsfuse.org/324928/film-...

The highlight of my weekend (not a high bar) was hearing this NPR newscaster rhapsodize over the rediscovery of a long-lost early robot film by the "pioneering 19th C French filmmaker Jorjis Malia." 🤖🎞️
