You get taxed on everything you earn… Your income, your savings, CGT on investments, When you spend.

I agree that there shouldn’t be any special rates. There should just be no inheritance tax. Can tax via CGT. It is absurd that you work, pay off a house, save, etc, all the while paying tax and then the government wants to take more away
