Most people choose not to publicly express thet they are furries, outside of fur meets or cons.

Meanwhile, here I am, trying to make furry my whole wardrobe, even for work!

Watching other people's drama this weekend makes me realise people talk a big game about wanting diversity till you're 'too' different. Your ways 'too' other. Your speech 'too' ghetto.
A multicoloured group full of the same personalities isn't really anything more than a costume change.

Real real real real, black furries fucking rock and have helped me feel like I belonged in ways the majority wasn't able to do.

i also use my voice as a black person to let other black furries/queers know they are not crazy for being upset about the racism and exclusion they experience on the daily. i know this topic makes people so uncomfortable but it NEEDS to be said how isolated POC feel in these communities

We run parties and events but a lot of the time we just want to get on with our lives and enjoy the fandom without being scrutinised like an exotic organism. That's why we have our own spaces like FursofColor and Bipocfurs.
The main thing is we look out for each other.

Pretty sure I already talked about at some point, but we should really do something to give more visibility to black furries (as well as other minorities) so they can speak out about their experience in the community without facing backlash from the ''keep politics out of the fandom'' crowd :/

furries are not immune to being antiblack because they're either queer or "trying to keep pawlitics out of the fandom" like you are the reason black furries, ESPECIALLY queer black furries feel unsafe.
