Yes, we should point to the outrage of pardoning rioters who did grievous harm to police officers. But let's please not lose sight of the fact that even if no police officers had been injured, Trump just pardoned more than a thousand people seeking to overturn a fair democratic election.

And that's just for starters. . .

Our democratic republic is in grave danger. We need to figure out how to preserve it and to protect the most vulnerable among this. My hate for this woeful failure of a human being is just one smidgen less than my love for my country--I hate him in part BECAUSE I love my country.

Yes--as a union guy, of course I want everyone to join the union. They SHOULD feel obligated to do so. But even if they don't l, it is as you say. Some would argue that a union will be more zealous in repping you if you're a dues-payer but that's not what I have seen at my local.
