Genuinely I cannot stress the slow burn heartbreak of watching this studio just…destroy itself from within as a new generation tries to build upon its sinking legacy. Its layoffs is local news for me. Its failures hurt our art scene. They’re now just the “studio behind the IKEA” for me.

As a Bay Area local, I worshiped the higher ups at Pixar. I dreamed at working at the Emeryville campus. I had peers whose parents were animators for Pixar in my area.
