When we think house rules we tend to think of things that apply directly to the rules of the game we are playing. But what are some rules you have about playing at your house/with folks?
Is there a story behind it?
For example I have one that players have to use a dice tray

An additional reason is I have a wodden table and alot of folks use metal dice and it tears up the wood
But the main reason is the losing of dice. It's silly but having to hold up a game for several minutes to find errant dice ended up adding up to a sizable chunk and I expect more from adults
Oh man that "I totally rolled" thing where they just drop it trying to get it to land on a number thing is so lame
I think it goes without saying but this "Well if you have standards you'll have to also forgo *insert other thing*" is some bullshit
Ignoring the fact that people ALSO don't want it in their government systems, it's not also, ya know, a luxury that people can choose to go elsewhere for
