Just finished Graydon Carter's memoir. It was fantastic! Right up there with books by Tina Brown and Terry McDonell.
I expect David Remnick to pen one as soon as he's done at The New Yorker.
Maybe David Granger is working on a book about his time at Esquire?
Mag nerds should be so lucky.

Insulting, exhausting, traumatic: the death benefits battle between families of vets who die by suicide and the VA | CNN Politics A CNN investigation found that even as the VA has invested hundreds of millions of dollars addressing the veteran suicide crisis, agency officials have denied crucial benefits to hundreds of families ...

This is absolutely shameful.
This country needs to step up and do the right thing for these families.
It's unacceptable.

Happy birthday to American Weird Fiction writer Fritz Leiber!
Born December 24, 1910.
Leiber coined the term "Sword & Sorcery" and is considered one of the founding fathers of that subgenre of fantasy.
He was also one of the first to use H.P. Lovecraft's Mythos in his own cosmic horror stories.
