By this officer stating Black identity as the officer's pronouns, the officer invalidated that there are people who identify as Black/They/Them such as myself, and through the officer's doubling down, insinuated through action that Black femmes and women should only identify as Black.

We have worked hard to build a trans-inclusive Minnesota. Our community growing deep roots here. To see our community dismissed and disregarded in this way is unacceptable.

What happened last night was bleak to say the least. I didnt fight transphobia from moms for liberty types in a red area of MN just to see the same shit from DFLers.

Completely and totally unacceptable behavior from leadership of a recently chartered DFL Community Caucus. Transphobia anywhere is a threat to our community everywhere.

This is only the most recent example of transphobia being tolerated within the party. When will @dfl.org step in to stop this?

btw, just to clarify based on tonight's events: it is misgendering to use they/them pronouns to refer to a trans woman who has repeatedly said that she uses she/her pronouns. that behavior by certain members of the feminist caucus towards me was hurtful, disrespectful, and transphobic

I distinctly recall some of the same people who did to Dex misgendering someone who uses they/them at a Progressive caucus meeting last year. But guess who got in trouble? That person who was misgendered.

Another feature of the “balance” on this board would be to require a supermajority to make any recommendations, which would allow one side to unilaterally block anything.
