To which a fourth grade boy replied to me, in all earnestness; “Ms. Eninsche what you got to understand is that we’re Gen Alpha…we don’t actually KNOW anything!! No, really it’s true!” (Some of his table mates are nodding along in agreement) -it’s times like these when I love my job!

I also started chuckling and explained how I was amused about how they describe centuries, as I go over this a lot in my classes when we look at historical art.
Kids, I oftenhear you say ‘The Nineteens’ when describing the nineteen hundreds, and it’s actually called the 20th century. (More) 🦋

I was chatting with some fourth graders about decades for some reason, they (audaciously) asked if I was from the “Eighteens” and I told them no, I was born in the 1970s. (More) 🦋 #GenX #teaching #genalpha #artteacher
