Thinking about that PSX-inspired fantasy console.

The PSX was limited in how much it could draw because there just wasn't enough CPU power to spare in transforming all that geometry (and also fillrate was somewhat a factor)

But how to approach this with a fantasy console?

I've been looking for ways to encapsulate the aesthetics of these games beyond sharing little clips, and I've been attempting to do that by writing about them. Here's my write-up about 1998's Thief (no paywall or email subscription needed)
