Another Korean Air Cargo flight carrying horses to Japan to be slaughtered left the Edmonton Airport at approx 6:40 a.m.

The horses pictured in the video below were on that flight

3,265 horses were flown from Canada to Japan to be slaughtered in 2024!

↓ Live Horse Exports for Slaughter – 1,389 horses, DOWN 37.8%

↑ US Horse Imports for Slaughter – 1,403 horses, UP 13.5%

↓ Horse Meat Exports – 666 metric tonnes, DOWN 15.5%

During the aircraft loading process, one crate was returned to the holding building due to 2 horses sitting while in the crate. The March 3 flight included a stop in Anchorage - one horse was found down in a crate after take-off.

For the second time this year a Korean Air flight left the Winnipeg airport carrying horses to Japan

The CHDC has received details surrounding several deaths and injuries that were provided to the CFIA by Japanese authorities that occurred from Dec 2023 to Nov 18, 2024.
These young horses suffered terribly.

Another Korean Air Cargo flight carrying horses to Japan to be slaughtered left the Edmonton Airport early Monday morning.
The temperature was -32°C and -42° with wind chill when the horses were being loaded on the aircraft.

Agriculture Minister Lawrence MacAulay is now looking at other ways to enforce a ban, including by issuing regulations that would not require a vote or debates by the Commons and Senate.
