This creature is called a Prismarine Gemitus, a sub-species of Gemitus whom are gem and mineral feasting monsters. The prismatic variant instead consumed gem people, their bodies made of and packed with magical crystal and energy. Unfortunately for them, the Prismarine Gemitus body could not handle the excess and foreign magic. Mutating into an even larger and more aggressive beast, it's body crystalizing from the inside. It's the undeniable phase into a clump of rock, one which is painful to the very end for the creature. Regular Gemitus are territorial by nature, while it's gem variant wanders.

This was a DnD character I played for the absolute longest. He was a cleric jackal-folk. His much older look was pretty straight Anubis, so I give him a bit more of an interesting flare, but kept the bling. old stuff of him is practically dust unfortunately. He was friendly, soft spoken, compassionate, understanding and faithful. He ended up being the moral compass of the party many times. Closer to a doctor than a cleric funnily enough.
