Interesting (to me) that the idea of a panel makes the Assisted Dying Bill even more like the 1936 Voluntary Euthanasia (Legalisation) Bill, the first discussion of the subject in parliament

Really recommend reading George's article about the 1936 push for euthanasia, featuring an incredibly misjudged use of Captain Oates as an analogy for the merits of assisted dying.
