Since you are critiquing literature I would recommend you read "On Zionist Literature" by Ghassan Kanafani. Depending on how much you want to get into the Nakba and Palestine "The Hundred Years' War on Palestine" by Rashid Khalidi and "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine" by Ilan Pappé ...
