It might be fair to say he learned all the wrong things at that academy (started early under a racist, bloodthirsty father/ill mother) and has achieved complete deviance and sensational cruelty under Roy Cohn and beyond.
Learning to be human/humane has always been beyond his capacity.

Backward, forward, up, down, all the while changing patterns, pulsing colors, pulsing their tutu fins. The entire school mysteriously reversing, levitating in unison, big eyes curiously fixed on you. Engaging little aliens, each its own spaceship.

A pretty and pretty tiny beetle, smaller than a rice grain, in the Mojave Desert a couple of weeks ago. I think it's a soft-winged flower beetle (family Melyridae).

There are more instances of United States Citizens being detained by ICE than there are of illegal immigrants voting in elections.

After Selma, we're still here working A powerful reminder.

Meanwhile in Alabama, the Dream survives.

Marjorie Stoneman Douglas, author of The Everglades: River of Grass. She was a small, single woman who used her formidable talents and intelligence to give a threatened ecosystem a voice, to let its magnificent beauty and vulnerability speak to the nation and the world across generations.

You are right! Maybe it’s more accurate to say he has the attention span of a small child. His narcissistic greed for power and attention urges him to attack Cuba next.

iNaturalist IDed the insect on top of the thistle—w/ elongated, orange marked abdomen—a Carribbean Scolid Wasp. Small cuteness with light fuzz (right) is a Hoary Leafcutter Bee. 3 big bruisers are Carpenter Bees, but 2 species—to be distinguished. #Biodiversity #Wildness #Nature

Iridescently blue-purple bird with red and yellow bill, huge yellow feet strides across the broad leaves of Spatterdock. Light catches a rust-orange butterfly, antennae wide and proboscis extended into a pale purple thistle flower. A tiny alligator with orange stripes hides in the shallows and looks for its mother to return. Not yet devoured by a turtle, a cupped Spatterdock flower reaches up from the water. Beside it another is in bud.

Everglades National Park today: full of life.

Watery landscape under a blue sky with puffy cumulous clouds. In the foreground water reflects the sky between large green leaves of Spatterdock, whose yellow flowers are delicious to turtles. In the mid ground are wetland trees and shrubs, Cocoplum, willow, and Pond apple. Spend a little time here and see what emerges from beneath the water’s surface or from deep in the trees.

An Everglades scape today
