Trump telling people he’s going to go into Fort Knox, claiming someone may have stolen the gold Trump says he’s going to Fort Knox to see if anyone stole the gold there Trump says he’s going to take Elon to Fort Knox and see if anyone stole the gold there Trump says he has added more gold to Mar-a-Lago’s ballroom, more gold than anyone has ever had

Time to confront the question: why are people like me so hostile to AI hype? Apart from the obvious reasons, we believe our roles in life are built on intelligence and creativity and seeing our output stolen to create something inferior but cheaper than us, to profit billionaires, is soul destroying

Maybe a long shot here… but I need HS appropriate TikTok-style shorts from liberal and conservative viewpoints of political issues with varying degrees of truthfulness to them (some false, some true from both ideologies) for a media literacy analysis lesson #sschat anyone got some good ones?

DBQ project has a Tulsa Massacre lesson that can be used as is or broken into jigsaw or other format for shorter use

Genuine question: does Kantian ethics mean that you have to actually read the terms and conditions before clicking agree?

Still holding that my hypothesis I made after the 2016 election - Obama-to-Trump portends a political realignment - is true, but I’ll admit that it appears I will be wrong about what those fault lines would look like

The one positive if you could even look at it that way is that these last few years of Trump/Republican chaos has also taught me lots of very weird and obscure things about government - but it’s usually because of unprecedented stuff or broken norms

It’s going to be another four years of “here’s how things are supposed to work” before devolving into “but…” and a lot of “so… this happened” (which I’ve already done like 3 times already with some of his appt picks)

All these starter packs lately are great, because I don’t know how else I would find and follow so many great humanities-focused accounts - hope I can learn a few things that are helpful in my classroom 👍

As a harm reduction voter, I have to admit that the allure of accelerationism (considering the results of this election) is alluring - but I don’t wish the accelerated consequences on the people who will feel those effects nor do I wish that pain on even those who voted for it
