When @lbc.co.uk invited me on to talk about @greenparty.org.uk/ @zackpolanski.bsky.social, I didn’t intend to talk about how capitalism is driving both the climate crisis and the cost of living crisis. But that is what I did 🤷

Combined membership is certainly possible - I’m one. But of the 7,800 Scottish Greens, I’m confident it’s no more than a couple of hundred people or so.

Unanimous support for trans healthcare shows that the party has (for now) moved on from its terf wars, which were a source of huge friction in recent years. It did this not by sacrificing trans people, but by getting tough on transphobic bullies.

'This means that the number of Greens across Great Britain - around 91,000 - is around 50% more than the membership of the Lib Dems'.

(I should be clear that the error came neither from the Lib Dems - who reported their number perfectly accurately; nor the Greens, who should be able to rely on a BBC report, but from the BBC, who appear to have misread the Lib Dem’s accounts)
