So what does this mean for each of us? It means that no one is safe if no one speaks up. It means that staying quiet is no longer neutrality — it’s surrender. It means that democracy will not survive if fear wins.

Trump wants to end that. He wants Americans — born here or not — to live in constant fear that stepping out of line could mean exile, punishment, or erasure. That’s what this is about. It’s about obedience, not policy. About building a system where silence and submission are the only safe choice.

I just saw the video of Trump confusing transgenic for transgender to justify blaming $8.1 million on waste/fraud/abuse, all in an attempt to throw red meat to MAGA. You can't make this $h!t up. 🥸

Great Aunt Helen was profound in her observations regarding genealogy . . "Don't shake the tree too hard, you may not appreciate what falls out." . . I have stopped shaking the tree, and a lifetime of research dies with me. Fairly sure there won't be much fuss over my very narrow subject matter.

I'm not sure, but it sounded like Illinois Governor JB Pritzker announced his intent to run for President in 2028 with that speech on Sunday.

Anyone supporting cuts to the VA and the vets who kept us safe, and the active duty and reserves who still keep us safe. If you knew how little our service members are paid, you should understand that they do/did "the job" for love of country.

What is so distasteful about the Kilmer Abrego Garcia debacle is something middlle-Americans don't get. The USA will keep getting browner; they may not send you to El Salvador when the demographic shift becomes so severe, but where will they send you? Be careful, your actions have consequences.
