there's a Hasidic Yiddish play about the Yossele affair, so while waiting for Riklis's series one can also see this story narrated from a Hasidic perspective, in heymish Yiddish, and -needless to say - with no women on stage.

after over three years of collective work, our anthology of hasidic stories is almost out! 800 pp of stories from 1814 to 2022, transl. from hebrew and yiddish, with a book-length intro to hasidic history and lit., as part of the national library series!
