Got up, made a cuppa and I’m now about to watch the final ep of Stranger Things!
Do you know what I really love? Sitting in my house.
💡 New booklet!
Helping reduce #stigma for people who receive #opioid substitution treatment, and empower them in their interactions with pharmacy staff

Semester 1 teaching is done - I made it! Although I have to say, I’m actually pretty sad they’re over. Definitely the highlight of my week!

Not me obsessively trying to get into a Zoom meeting today only to realise it’s part of the outage…
Regardless of what comes out of the US, HepB is a bloodborne virus with a range of transmission routes. Please do your own research on BBVs and don’t rely on a politician to spoon feed “knowledge” to you!
Can confirm that having a fringe in this horrendously warm weather is not ideal.
Me: aw I’ll take some annual leave in August because it’s usually nice-ish weather.
The Scottish weather: WEATHER WARNING. WIND. RAIN. ALL ROUND DREICHNESS…
Me:
Luna cuddles are my favourite cuddles! (Even though she snores louder than any human I’ve ever heard 😅) #DogsofBluesky #SkyDogs
My outlook is constantly gaslighting me by saying I have unread emails when I don’t… or at least, not any that I can see 🙃
You know what’s not ideal? Getting a power cut because of the hot weather IN THE MIDDLE OF WRITING FEEDBACK FOR STUDENTS… 🥲
Not to be a buzzkill, but I honestly hate this heat with my whole heart. Give me winter any day 🥲
Our latest [open access] paper evaluated what happened to drug-related mortality risk among people with opioid dependence in Scotland during the Covid-19 pandemic. In short, they stabilised (at a very high level), and OAT remained highly protective. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
Annual leave is great, but that first day back after it is not so great 🙃
Aw thanks Lisa! ♥️
And just like that, my PhD journey is officially complete! 💙
There is actually a breeze coming in my office… I’ve actually never been so grateful for anything in my life 🥲
Giving students feedback on dissertation chapters only to realise that I’ve spelled ‘grammar’ as ‘grammer’ twice. TWICE 🙃
Absolutely agree! Mines isn’t nearly as bad as it was when I was younger, but it’s still horrible. Same here - trying to do anything when your nose and eyes won’t stop running is impossible! It totally ruins your summer as well 🙃
I’ve only just left the house and my hayfever is already playing up. Love that for me 🙃

Every time I buy a new backpack for work, I’m reminded of a tweet I saw years ago along the lines of… no matter how successful an academic you are, you’re still just an adult wearing a backpack 😅
Thursdays are easier to work when you know you're off the Friday/Monday 🎉
Very much not a fan of the new AI ScotRail announcement voice.
