After 11 years, I am officially no longer involved with ESA. It's been a journey. I learned a lot, met lots of good people and created many great memories with them.
I want to thank ESA for the opportunity, and I wish them the best going forward.

Private servers will likely still be possible but all the signs point to them being heavily monetized. Similar for modding.

GTA5 is consistently among the top categories on twitch due to heavily modded roleplay servers. Rockstar wants a cut of that.

There are already signs for it. Until recently in GTA5, the modding scene was mostly decentralized with a modded custom built-launcher for private servers. Rockstar has bought that launcher in preparation for GTA6. In not too long it's been announced that some tools will become partially restricted.

I'm not entirely sure what the other stuff is. So I can only recommend the original. It's a cornerstone of VNs. If you like it, you can look into the others.

What the actual fuck is going on over there

Most (those not voting, voting GOP, and voting useless 3rd parties) of the people eligible to vote in the US elections are morons (and that it putting things very mildly) and are directly responsible for this shitshow.

In this regard it seems there's a lot more in this game than in the first Frostpunk. In exchange, it lost most of the city building elements. The game felt quite easy. I don't know. I prefer the first one but the second isn't bad. I'd say a 7/10. Original Frostpunk was maybe a 9.

Finally played and finished Frostpunk 2.
It's... an interesting idea, in the continuation of the first game. It certainly is different. Not necessarily better or worse, but mostly a completely different game. I've only played one path and I think there's a lot more to see.

I wonder how long it'll take for it to die for good though. It feels like more and more people hate it but they can't stop using it because they're addicted, and it's just a feedback loop as no one is really using any of the alternatives seriously.
