One thing that doing creative work teaches you is that ideas are worth nothing. Anybody can have an idea. In a writers room you have to come up with a hundred ideas a day, and most of those don’t make the page. It’s the work of making something that gives it value. The patina of humanity.

If I'm stuck while outlining, I'll start a list called "Stupid things that could happen next" and write a bunch of nonsense ideas down. Pterodactyl attack. Everyone starts singing. Someone transforms into a werewolf.

Eventually the ideas become less stupid, and usually I find a solution.

A diner in my neighborhood went under. The restaurant across the street raised funds to bring it back because it benefited from having more businesses on the block to attract foot traffic.
