Florida Mayor Threatens Cinema Over Israeli-Palestinian Film The mayor of Miami Beach wants to end the lease of a group renting a city-owned property because it is screening the Academy Award-winning “No Other Land” there.

O Cinema has been threatened with eviction and loss of funding for showing "No Other Land." But the government does not get to pick and choose which viewpoints the public is allowed to hear, however controversial some might find them. The ACLU-FL and CJP are standing with O Cinema in this fight.

Tom Robbins, Whose Comic Novels Drew a Cult Following, Dies at 92 He blended pop philosophy and absurdist comedy in best-selling books like “Even Cowgirls Get the Blues” and “Skinny Legs and All.”

In the midst of the madness we’re all enduring, Karma Doll, Jonathan Ames’ wildly funny, semi- depraved, and beautifully written new Noir, may be the perfect read… For my money, his bent, burned-out Buddhist detective, Happy Doll, is this generation’s Philip Marlowe.
