I did get to sing in the choir with Dad as a teenager, which are extremely fond memories.

Growing up, music was a huge part of our familial identity. We all sang in church choirs, my siblings and I all got piano and voice lessons, and us kids did plays and musicals. Dad was in his church choir right up until he passed l and I became a musician, so choir was always a conversation for us.

That’s so cool that you and your dad could share a love of art! Dad and I never went to comic book conventions, but we bonded over comic strips and making music
