it was my favorite "turn off my brain" game and boy do i need that sort of distraction now

and intense meddling from investors looking for payouts.

Games are victims of Enshittification on such an intense level that it's kinda sad to think about. the hobby has been priced out of affordability for a lot of people because of skyrocketing costs of hardware and game development.

Sucks.

it was a fun time to be a game consumer.

But from what i've been told by people who were making games, it was hell. Crunch, low pay, no job security.

It's not much better now for them.
