Unsolicited email purporting to be from Amazon Jobs telling me they've added me to their recruitment database

Had this email from Amazon in my personal email inbox today. The layout and domain (Amazon.jobs) look legit but the whole thing feels very dodgy. Why would Amazon build a database of potential hires? If they really were impressed with my CV, why not mail my work email or connect on LinkedIn? #dodgy

It’s the only explanation I can come up with.

Always thought I'd rather live to 50 and be happy rather than live to 100 and be miserable. But I'm 60 now and the last 5 years have actually been good, health and career and general happiness-wise. So there are better days ahead, potentially.

On Twitter I was once hunted down by word-searching Welsh language mafia who'd found me using the term in a post and started hurling abuse for popularising what they said was a "fatuous myth".

Plus there's the rather more pitifully base motivation of running with 20-something gym bunnies with their cute pony tails & wearing skin-tight lycra leggings with Very Little Underneath. Christ I wish I was young again.

Our local parkrun is 2 1/2 laps of the local park, and today I was lapped by a bloke pushing his kid in a buggy. Granted I'm 60 and he was half my age, and I am carrying a knee injury. But still...#MustDoBetter

Something I found with parkrun was the motivation of seeing people much older / fatter than me finishing in front of me, and me thinking "Chirst, I can't be *this* unfit, surely" and gain the quiet determination to be able to finish a little faster the next time.

"The Queen of 1964" would ha e been one of the first singles i ever bought. B side was "Solitaire". Polydor label. Funny the things you remember.

He's completely unpredictable. Incredibly impressive to watch.

My knees aren't great (I'm 60) and dreading having to give up.

Watching Ross Noble at the Palladium. Half time. Reckon half his material so far has just been ad libbed. Brilliant.
