Dang, gpt-oss-20gb is very snappy on my "old" M1 Max
06.08.2025 01:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Did Claude Code context window shrank? I'm getting the auto-compact wayyyyyy earlier than before now. It feels like it's half the size now
04.08.2025 10:29 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0- Hammering the "Save Login" button 3-5 times until anything actually happens
- Hitting "regenerate" on Masked Email 10 times before it finally goes through and generates an email
- Extension just doesn't unlock at all when clicking the little inline lock icon
How can the
@1Password
Safari extension still be so incredibly buggy? It's been around for years and the it still has the feel of a just released beta product
Just integrate with the systemwide macOS password provider finally π

Asked Gemini to write a commit message for me, and it automatically renamed me to "David Herman"
Gemini can be the most powerful, but also the most derpy model...
What y'all using for playing with Kimi? @openrouter.bsky.social or moonshot AI API directly?
15.07.2025 10:30 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0First time seeing Claude Code fully overloaded. Never had this message before

12.07.2025 12:03 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Say hello to AI edits directly from within microfn! Just tell our AI the change you want, and it will generate the code update for you β¨
Check it out over at microfn.dev
So what we all thinking about AI browser like @diabrowser and @PerplexityComet
People that use those already, what are your actual usecases for these AI features? Not theoretical ones, but actual things you already do with these
2 new maskwire.com features shipped:
**1. Leak Shield**
Automatically redact sensitive words and patterns in outgoing emails
**2. Smart Unsubscribe**
Make sure that the Unsubscribe button in clients like Apple Mail is sending the unsubscribe request to the correct email address
fixmyjapanese.com organically reaching 600 clicks last month π
Glad to see some people find it valuable enough to come back!
(Especially after the kind folks on reddit really hated on it)
Super happy to soft-launch microfn.dev, a cloud runner for tiny composable functions
Write a function, hit save, and itβs live π
URL, webhook, cron, or MCP tool
Built-in AI function generator + community templates you can remix. In alpha so feedback is welcome!
It's like having one of these super senior know-all engineers in your team, that just HAS to find at least something to point out
26.06.2025 07:38 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Wow, thanks Gemini Code Assist. I'm glad this Medium Priority issue got caught in code review, almost shipped this to production π¨

(Hopefully not the last)
Long overdue, but finally got around to writing a little blogpost about Quickshot
david.coffee/quickshot-ai...
Full agents:
Gemini has Jules AI agent
OpenAI has Codex AI agent
Copilot has Github Agent
Claude is a bit of a wildcard for having Claude Code that's also a proper dev tool that works in vscode, but can also work autonomous in GitHub actions
Probably a mix and match?
- Copilot for $10 seems like a no-brainer because of how easy it plugs into everything and has all LLMs. + synergy with GitHub
- One main LLM: Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Perplexity, (Copilot?)
- One dev tool: Copilot, Cursor, Zed, (Claude Code?)
How y'all deciding what AI tools to subscribe to? Everything wants your $20+ for the same models
- @zed.dev ($20)
- @anthropic.com Claude ($17/$100/$200)
- @github.com Copilot ($10/$40)
- @raycast.com ($16)
- Gemini ($20/$250)
- Cursor ($20)
- ChatGPT ($20/$200)
- perplexity ($20)
etc
Productive day! Lots of updates pushed
12.06.2025 12:58 β π 2 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0fixmyjapanese.com received a new "Formal" mode that's in between "Casual" and "Polite"
So, formal Japanese, but not too polite π
Claude 4 Sonnet with extended thinking and web search enabled is so damn good, it blows Perplexity search away
All these actions, searches and lookups with a simple task. This is not even βresearch modeβ nor using Opus
Also light studio shot transformations! A bit rough around the edges but it works quite nicely!
