Just a bit of late-1970s-upper-lip awesomeness that pays a little too much attention to basketball and other sports

This is one of these moments where I wish the NFL stat community removed "garbage time" from the metrics. The Pats/Carolina game looked very different until both teams pulled a bunch of their starters in the 4th. Then Carolina went on some long drives that... ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ...

Interesting question

Can we do run and pass blocking separately? I'd hope for middle quartile (and not ruling out better) in run blocking. And yes, second-to-lowest quartile for pass blocking with some rough games in there.

Trying not to think about it now, but this is probably the last time we're going see some of these guys as Celtics. Tremendous appreciation for what they've done and how they've carried themselves. Last year's team was my favorite I've ever covered, in any season, in any sport.

Helpful, thank you

A question about whether I'm reading these "performance value percentile" graphs correctly...

...The ones from OT and iOL suggest that the top OT#2 and the top OGs have about the same value... is that right?

To the value tiers on the oline go: (1) OT#1, (2) OT#2, OG#1, OG#2, (3) OC... yes?

Picture of New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel answering questions about whether recent draft pick Will Campbell is better suited to play LT or LG in the NFL. Does Mike Vrabel think Will Campbell projects as an LT in the NFL? If so, it's weird he doesn't say so. He only acknowledges that Campbell played OT at LSU

Ben Bradlee coined the phrase 'non-denial denial'

Vrabel answering questions about Campbell at LT feels like a non-endorsement endorsement

My first thought when the Texans traded back was that this must saying something bad about Simmons medical file, and the 'motivation/character' whispers about Conerly.

Is there another strong explanation for why they wouldn't take one or the other at #25?

...adding talent to the rooms that most need it + players that can be effective in multiple roles

Graham can play all four positions in a 4/3 line. Jackson and Milum have similar flexibility on the Oline. Noel and Smith have the route/run flexibility to keep defenses guessing
