these sort of Christians want to control your life and behavior and then demand you thank them for it

they need you to express gratitude for them keeping you alive even as they decide the contours of your life

they hate taxation and fully subsidized services-for-all because it removes that power

this may seem far afield, but for this sort of Christian, a really off-putting aspect about Halloween for them is the expectation that any kid who knocks at their door gets candy by default
