I dunno, I'm pretty sure I could get a lower price by bundling together a million sem-related contracts and getting some hastily-cobbled-together international consortiums to put in bids

I just ~~love~~ that critical accessibility features for Eglinton station have been off limits for years just because they were part of the LRT construction contract (but only serve Line 1!!!)

Now joining in on building out the Ontario Line!
I love the copious Scott Pilgrim characters
wplace is so funny I love looking at random major cities and seeing what memes people put
10.08.2025 16:48 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0apparently wplace.live is partially down because they overloaded openfreemap:

Which explains why I can still draw, I just can't see WHERE I'm drawing.
Tough to see, but someone has accepted the challenge of threading the Ontario Line through the dense noise downtown

electronics were so much cooler when we could buy them in fun fruity colors especially if they were seethrough and its actual bullshit the only options now are like black, white, and some kind of shitty desaturated pastel

More scientific, or lesser used modifiers
Well this is fun.
You can even watch as new words are encountered, and read the post it came from.
(Only a day or two of history, so the words are not *super* esoteric yet)
As a physicist I can easily calculate time dilation from relativistic motion (time slows when you're moving fast) or proximity to a massive object (time slows in gravity) but I have yet to find a solution for emotional time dilation (the task takes five minutes to complete but six weeks to start) ๐ซ

At swim lessons, like 90+% of boys have swim shirts. An article of clothing that basically didn't exist 30 years ago.

It's fascinating, having a 6-year-old, and now getting to see all the ways things have changed since I was a child.
Like, obviously ~phones~, but I'm talking about the more mundane stuff, school and extracurriculars.
Urban shoulders should be provided wherever possible. An urban shoulder delineated by an edge line shall be a minimum width of 1.2m and may be as wide as 2.3m where space is available
What traffic engineers tend not to say out loud is that they prefer bike lanes because they are almost "free" to add. Adding a 1.5m bike lane replaces a desired 1.2m "urban shoulder".

Toronto desperately needs to get on the multi-use-path bandwagon.
It is the absolute best cycling infra for suburban arterials and highway crossings in pedestrian-light environments

I'll say, that for the GSD to actually do cargo (in a meaningful way), you're looking at $500+ extra for the attachments
