Are you just now noticing the effectiveness of this business model? It has been around for quite some time.
As a matter of fact, this example alone could be studied as a “legacy map” revealing many economic transits through racism.

A stark, minimalist composition on a deep charcoal background. Centered at the top, in elegant white serif type, are the words: “You are still learning and growing.” Beneath the text sits a perfect circular portrait—black-and-white, high-contrast, almost photorealistic yet stylized. The portrait depicts a thoughtful Black man with a full, curly beard that spirals like coiled waves. His beard frames a strong jawline and chin, each curl catching subtle highlights. He wears a soft, rounded hat whose brim casts a gentle shadow over his brow. His eyes—in soft gray tones—gaze forward with calm curiosity, as if inviting the viewer into a shared moment of reflection. Light subtly outlines his cheekbones and the ridges of his nose, suggesting both solidity and openness. The hat’s texture appears felt-like; the beard’s texture, almost tactile in its detailed curls. The circle containing his face floats against the dark backdrop, creating a portal-like effect: a window into a human presence that feels alive, wise, and approachable. Below the portrait, empty space invites breathing room, reinforcing the message above: growth is ongoing, expansive, and unhurried. The overall visual rhythm—white text, dark negative space, central circular face—echoes the balance between clarity and mystery, encouragement and self-reflection. Caption: “this is cool to know 🌱” A gentle seedling emoji underscores growth, reminding us we bloom best in supportive soil—nurtured by clarity, compassion, and the ongoing work of creative togetherness.
How cool is that?
02.05.2025 19:26 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Across the lined paper, bold script declares: “I Am Samuel.” Below it, a quieter echo adds, “I am also Kamau.” The text loops between clarity and crescendo, marking the thought terrain of a being aware of his own naming and renaming—of a self in transit through time. The name-change annotation: “I changed my name to Kamau in 1994,” boxed like a reclaimed rite. A playful aside drifts in parentheses, “(Did it again, I did…)” hinting at recursion and rebirth. The page then breathes into the concept of potential—specifically, the potential of “What could be, if all things (beings) could see what I see.” The voice questions itself midstream, challenging the ego: “How egotistical is that?” A visual arrow leads to the word “EGO,” drawn boldly, part dragon tail, part signature, wrapping into a statement of release. There is vulnerability here. The ego is not scorned, but heard, sung, spoken through. It is not a tyrant, but a witness. “And that is my ego… singing, speaking, breathing through me. For all to see.” The final affirmation folds in like a haiku at the bottom of the page: “I have learned to listen to my ego… and let go.” A calm line follows: “This is the path of the Quiet Warrior that I Am.” This handwritten page, composed with both force and forgiveness, reflects a soul at a stillpoint—reconciling Samuel’s birth with Kamau’s becoming. In context with Sinners, this page feels like Sammie Moore’s ghost journal. If Sammie had made it past the last reel, if he had outlived the blood-hunger of the vampires and inherited his own quiet dawn, this is the kind of page he would’ve left behind. A spiritual map. A log of ego heard and freed. A path carved through silence. The image is not static. It breathes. This page isn’t a note-to-self—it is a note-to-source. A composition in potential.

That external projection of capability creates a sense of solution urgency in the other, while I need time to understand their challenge.
Good brother Scott,
What if that is the strategic goal?
A goal documented in a nearly 1000 page thesis publicly available as an operation manual.
Not the act of a buffoon, but the act of an elected official with an aligned support system and a project plan.

Good Bones Maggie Smith Life is short, though I keep this from my children. Life is short, and I've shortened mine in a thousand delicious, ill-advised ways, a thousand deliciously ill-advised ways I'll keep from my children. The world is at least fifty percent terrible, and that's a conservative estimate, though I keep this from my children. For every bird there is a stone thrown at a bird. For every loved child, a child broken, bagged, sunk in a lake. Life is short and the world is at least half terrible, and for every kind stranger, there is one who would break you, though I keep this from my children. I am trying to sell them the world. Any decent realtor, walking you through a real shithole, chirps on about good bones: This place could be beautiful, right? You could make this place beautiful.

As an observable experiential reality.
What I was served in American history is what I have been observing for decades in administrative behavior.

This is the becoming 🕯️
The becoming is not a singular event. It is the field where we meet ourselves unhindered.
It is the recognition that the treasure we chase is always ahead, AND beneath the feet we have yet to trust.
And so, we are here.
Because we are becoming.
And becoming does not end.
