Photo of the demonstrators walking down a city street above the date "Dec 5, 1955" and the following text: Montgomery Bus Boycott: On December 5, 1955, the Montgomery Bus Boycott began in response to Rosa Parks’ arrest. For 13 months, Black residents of Montgomery walked, carpooled, and organized to challenge segregated seating on public buses. Led by Martin Luther King Jr. and the Montgomery Improvement Association, the boycott showed the power of disciplined, nonviolent action and became a defining moment in the Civil Rights Movement, inspiring generations to fight for justice and equality.

December 5, 1955, marked the start of the 13-month Montgomery Bus Boycott. Sparked by Rosa Parks’ arrest, Dad led the MIA with faith in nonviolence, showing that collective courage can bend the arc toward justice.

Includes a picture of Disabled people dancing with their hands raised. Reads, "International Day of Persons with Disabilities. December 3rd. Today we recognize the over 1.3 billion people worldwide living with disabilities. Social progress is impossible without the full inclusion, participation, and leadership of Disabled people and persons with disabilities!

Let us celebrate all Disabled lives and acknowledge the current and ongoing barriers to access/ibility—while continuing to dismantle the system of ableism. #LCDC

TONIGHT! This isn’t a one-week fix. Rebuilding—physically and emotionally—will take months, even years. And we need to be prepared for the long haul. This training is one small shift in making sure we support each other with empathy, skill, and intention—not just today, but for as long as it takes.

#OTD in 1961, the first Freedom Riders began their journey to expose the brutal reality of segregation. Their nonviolent resistance sparked a national reckoning.

Today, we are reminded that change often comes from ordinary people with extraordinary courage.
