Anime and anime music are surprising sources of German vocab. I'm surprised how much the German vocab I learned from the Bleach anime, the Kill la Kill song Blumenkranz and more helped me understand a German Christian worship song's lyrics. Picked up a few sentences too. #langsky

I'm curious as to why the English accent I'm comfortable with is the Singlish accent. Our school followed the Singapore system but our English teachers were rarely ever from SG. We also had many teachers from US, UK, Australia, Philippines. I didn't watch many SG movies. #langsky

It's so interesting how with the different languages you know or are fluent in, you're good in and need improvement in different areas. I have a wider vocabulary in English than in Mandarin, but I can probably explain Mandarin grammar rules better than English ones. #langsky

I still can't read Mongolian Cyrillic and do not understand the phonetic rules, but I'm happy to understand 3 words and 1 phrase, specifically the words for "thank you", "one", and "two", and the phrase "how are you?" Bit by bit I suppose. #langsky
