this shit rocks. Hondo teaches a kid to swim and it's one of the pure funniest little scenes ever. 83 minutes of Duke being Duke, no time to luxuriate, like COMMANDO decades later for Arnold. not either man's absolute best but in some ways the purest expression of their raw on-screen personality.

i think Danhausen appeals most to wrestling nerds with other nerd interests. "cheesy" horror/sci-fi, old cornball comic book stuff, etc. people who know what "Vinegar Syndrome" is are way more likely to be into Danhausen than people who buy Roman Reigns shirts and will weep when Randy Orton retires

I have now seen it thanks to the magic (?) of social media. the presentation rules. it's exactly what it should be for him -- well, other than he probably shouldn't be there at all. the WWE audience is really not on this wavelength is the problem. like, REALLY not.

I agree, and I wonder if some of that isn't kind of on purpose, or if it's just how he's gonna be. he's definitely the one of that current trio who has the most natural confidence (if he's a babyface) or arrogance (if he were a heel). It's a line to walk, and i'm intrigued to see how that plays out.
