The 2025-26 PA budget that I voted for last week brings new investments to our community’s school districts. It was important to me that the students in my district received this investment for their education, so they have what they need to succeed.

I’m glad this budget contains funding for the retainment and recruitment of childcare workers, legislation that I introduced.

This budget is overdue, but I voted to prevent tax increases and put more money back in your family’s pocket – and invest in our schools, child care providers, and roads and bridges.

Brittany has shown compassion, persistence, and collaboration in uncovering the deeper roots of behavioral challenges and has helped many individuals through her important work.

I had the honor of presenting a House of Representatives citation to Brittany Arnold, who is a 2025 Pennsylvania Advocates and Resources for Autism and Intellectual Disabilities (PAR) award winner.

I applaud Gov. Shapiro's initiative in having PA join a group of 24 states in taking legal action against the USDA for improperly withholding billions of $s in available funds to pay SNAP benefits for Nov.

The reason that the Dept. is not releasing funds is to cause suffering for people in need.

Today, we honor the memory of the 11 lives taken on October 27, 2018, at the Tree of Life synagogue. We hold space for their families, their communities, and all affected by this act of hate. May their memories be a blessing.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s time to stand together, raise our voices, and support those affected and that is true even beyond this month. Early detection saves lives – let’s spread the word.
