4. This tax credit's design is a classic example of politicians voting for something now in order to have future generations pay for it (which seems a lot like the problem it is ostensibly trying to solve!)

3. Should I be living in the same house 16 years from now (unlikely), there's a fair chance that some derecho or hurricane will rip the roof & the panels clean off it. Will I still get the tax credit (and maybe another one for 2055 for the replacement?)

It's a race to the bottom, I realize, but this Prince George's County (MD) property tax rebate has to be in the top decile of dumbest energy tax credits.
