I am shocked to learn this is actually underestimating costs, because it ignores the infrastructure costs.
This video is lowballing it.

Extremely good point.
It presumes that the average bigot even makes a distinction between the two.
The thing that never seems to occur to transphobes is the fairly common sense observation that there is, in fact, incredible and unilateral social pressure on people NOT to transition. They imagine a few pat on the backs from a discord server is more enticing that, like, a lifetime of safety.
We are constantly led to believe that gender identiy is so malleable that randos will be instantly transed by the slightest social pressure.
Why doesn't it ever go in the opposite direction? Why can't they then "un-trans" people if all of our identities are so vulnerable to the power of suggestion?
If I were ever to find myself in a position where condemning the death of children was considered politically unwise, I would start to seriously think about how exactly I was working with.

Repost this if you're also not.
I'm Canadian.
I hope you appreciate the irony of assuming I couldn't possibly live in another country, but somehow I doubt you have the capacity.
The worst aspect of the social media age is that we all still have to live in the world and make nice with a bunch of dumbfucks knowing the things they'll say here.
Do liberals know that people in other countries are human beings? Like, do they actually know that? Genuine question.
So true bestie.
While you're at it, also ask them their feelings on whether their children should get to grow up or not.
The intersection of anti-war but pro-murder.
Oh, yeah, well in that case let's go hog wild murdering children I guess
The main reason they wanted to drain the swamp was because they needed more water to flood the zone.
There's no hell hot enough for you.
Yes, thank God international peace has not been threatened further.
Plus the big reveal that (spoilers) both within the human sphere and on a macro cosmic scale, all of this death and destruction was for the benefit of a handful of entitled supremecist nobles rings absolutely true without feeling preachy.
The villains' POV chapters did a lot to make the world feel less like 7 people with the same voice and worldview.
Third book gives you both the unimaginable threats which should and do feel impersonal, AND more mundane, believable roadblocks. Best of both worlds IMHO.
